Course Aim
Stepladders and Step Stools for Users course is suitable for users of stepladders and step stools in places like shops, offices, schools, libraries and the healthcare sector.
All courses will be delivered in English and delegates must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
Delegates can attend our Training Academy in Sheffield or the course can be delivered in a suitable classroom at your normal place of work (subject to a risk assessment).

- Emergencies & rescue
- Duties
- Competence
- Pre-use inspection
- Planning & organising, selecting & using STEP (Site > Task > Equipment > People) principles
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, delegates will be able to:
- Select
- Inspect (pre-use) and;
- Use Stepladders and Step Stools
You will also have an understanding of:
- Standards affecting the manufacture and use of stepladders and step stools
- Good practice for the safe use of stepladders and step stools

- Training Academy or on-site
- Ladder Association Certificate & LadderCard
- Valid for 5 years
