Ladder Association: Ladders and Stepladders for Managers (LALSM1)
This course has been specifically developed for managers and supervisors to help you properly plan and organise work at height using ladders and stepladders.
All courses will be delivered in English and delegates must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
Delegates can attend our Training Academy in Sheffield or the course can be delivered in a suitable classroom at your normal place of work (subject to a risk assessment).

- Behavioural competencies
- Personal hazards
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the course, delegates will have an understanding of:
- Current legislation, regulations and guidance affecting work at height with ladders, stepladders and step stools
- The importance of rescue planning
- The difference between pre-use and formal inspections
- The difference between maintenance and repairs, and who is allowed to carry these out
- The correct way to dispose of unsafe equipment
