Steve Wood, Senior Trainer
NEBOSH, Tech IOSH, GIFireE

Steve’s background is as a 26 year Fire Fighter/Officer including at Manchester Airport for over 20yrs. He held the roles of Crew, Watch and Station Manager. His role also involved ensuring compliance for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Also within this period he obtained his strong training background which he has brought to the business.

Steve joined us early 2022 and is one of the key specialist instructors deployed nationally across a wide range of business sectors.

His skill set allows him to be a competent trainer in Managing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), for Permits to Work for  Manual Handling, Manual Handling, Confined Space, Working at Height and Hot Works. Steve is also involved with City & Guilds and Energy & Utility Skills as Eurosafe IQA for quality assurance.

Simon Miller, Training Manger

With many years of experience working as a qualified Health and Safety trainer and assessor, and specialising in confined space training to City & Guilds standards, Simon is responsible for the delivery of training courses as well as the development of the Eurosafe Training Academy to meet company and City & Guilds requirements. He is also an experienced Gas Network trainer having delivered and assessed NVQ qualifications for gas network construction and location, and repair of gas escapes.

An approved Energy & Utility Skills and SHEA Gas and Water trainer, Simon is working country wide in both our purpose-built Training Academy in Sheffield and at customer’s premises using mobile training unit.

Phil Rashbrook, Trainer

Phil Rashbrook is an experienced freelance instructor and consultant specialising in height safety and rescue, and confined space access and rescue. He served as Director of Training for HART (Height and Rescue Training by Pure Safety Group), managing programs in height safety, rescue, first aid, and GWO training, along with bespoke training, on-site rescue, and consultancy services.

Previously, Phil was the Training Manager for Europe at MSA – The Safety Company and a Senior Instructor at Honeywell Safety Products, delivering various safety training courses across sectors like utilities, construction, emergency services, entertainment, and oil and gas. He also worked as a Safety & Rescue at Height/Confined Spaces Instructor at Rig Systems Ltd, conducting safety training and on-site confined space surveys throughout the UK.

David Graney, Trainer

With over a decade of experience in technical rescue and health and safety training, David has built a career specialising in high-risk environments and critical safety instruction. He has held key training roles with MRS Training and Rescue, and Training The Street. His background combines hands-on rescue operations with professional training delivery, ensuring learners benefit from both technical knowledge and real-world application.

David is highly skilled in confined space entry, technical rescue, and safety management, with a strong analytical and methodical approach to instruction. His diverse experience across rescue and training environments enables him to deliver practical, engaging, and impactful learning experiences.
