Harness & Lanyard User (HLU01)
Course Aim
The course is aimed at people who work in specific locations such as MEWPS, window cleaners, scaffolders, and maintenance engineers, who are required to wear full body harness and lanyards.
The course will give the delegates the skills and knowledge for the correct selection, use and fitting of a harness and lanyard.
Delegates must be physically able to carry out the practical elements of the course.
Absolutely bang on trainer learns a lot in regards of how to put my harness on and the risk involved with not fitting it properly enjoys the course

Course Content
- Relevant regulations & legislation
- Guidance on when to wear a harness
- Selection of correct equipment
- Harness and lanyard pre-use checks and fitting
- Identifying faults and damage
- Storage of harness & lanyards
- Identify the need for a rescue plan

- Understand legislation governing working work at height
- Select and fit a full body harness and lanyard correctly
