Basic Casualty Extraction (BCE01)
This course provides essential training for employees in workplaces on how to safely and effectively extract casualties in the event of an emergency. Participants will learn the fundamental principles of casualty extraction, including risk assessment, safe handling techniques, and coordination with emergency services.
This course is designed for all employees in UK workplaces and factories, including safety officers, supervisors, and general staff. No prior medical training is required but a current first aid certificate is required.

The course is typically conducted over one day, with a mix of theoretical and practical sessions.
Important
Participants must hold a current and valid first aid certificate. Participants must be trained in confined space entry to the level from which they may be rescuing. The course does not include the use of Breathing Apparatus for any form of rescue. If rescuing from a High Risk confined space requiring full Breathing Apparatus you will need to attend the High Risk Rescue course.
