Pharma Client
Background
Following a change of ownership at a training site, our client sought assistance to bring the facility up to compliance standards, particularly regarding numerous confined spaces across the site. The existing procedures were inadequate for the new ownership’s vision of improved production and safety. The site’s existing procedures did not align with the requirements of the new ownership, hindering productivity and posing potential safety risks due to inadequate handling of confined spaces.
The Solution
Recognising the need for comprehensive consultancy, we offered our expertise to develop a confined space register and identify areas for enhancing isolation and lock-off procedures for plant and equipment.
The Process
Our team conducted a thorough assessment, engaging our partners to provide a comprehensive appraisal of existing lock-off and tag-out procedures. Through this evaluation, we pinpointed several areas for improvement.
The Outcome
Working closely with the client, we facilitated the implementation of upgraded procedures, including the provision of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and tailored training sessions to ensure seamless adoption. Moreover, our involvement extended to providing on-site confined space training leveraging our mobile training unit. This training covered medium-risk scenarios and involved collaboration with the site’s emergency response team, including specialised confined space rescue training.
